R’Bann Swiftwind – Wild Rider Chief

The Craftworld of Saim-Hann is odd is some way  as it is lead by several chiefs rather than Farseers. The Farseers simply act as advisers. For this reason I decided to take a Wild Rider Chief to lead my army. He wields a power weapon a rides a jetbike.

Game play wise, R’Bann is only strength 3 which makes it difficult to wound the average troop. However his main strength is in the ability to ignore armour saves. He usually is found leading his retinue with the Farseer in support.

The conversion itself is very simple. The head is that of a standard guardian with a piece of a plastic Dark Eldar's hair stuck on the top. The jetbike crew torso has been replaced by that of the new guardian plastics. The power weapon is taken from Jain Zar. Her hand was cut off the blade and filed down to the shaft. This then was stuck to the cradling hand of the plastic guardian. This then can be attached to the torso. A simple conversion but it makes the model stand out from amongst the ranks.
