Dark
Angels: The alternative army list. Important
note: This is not an official army list unless a member of the
development team happens to read it and decides that it is worth it,
consequently you need your opponents permission to use it. The
list is also as of yet untested so if you have any comments/suggestions
please E-mail me at jjchannon@another.com
with the subject Alternative DA codex. I do not have time to respond to
every email but I guarantee that I will read each one. Some
of my ideas are adapted from suggestions that I have read on message
boards others are my own ideas. Due credit is given to anyone who
recognises any of their ideas here so please dont e-mail me just to
complain about plagiarism it is not intended to be word for word, just
the adaptation of good ideas. The
army list: The
majority of the army list is the same as the official codex Dark Angels,
with the following exceptions: Ravenwing
attack bikes: May replace their multi-meltas with heavy bolters at 15
points. Ravenwing
landspeeders: may upgrade heavy bolters to multimeltas at +15 points.
May replace assault cannon with a heavy flamer at 10points. Special
rules: They
shall know no fear: As codex space marines. Drop
pods: As codex space marines. Ravenwing:
The Ravenwing Jinx save may be taken as well as the power armour save.
This means that from a single shot they may take a 6+invulnerable save
as well as a 3+standard save (provide they have not been hit by an ap 3
or more attack). Note that the Jinx save may not be taken in close
combat. Intractable:
As codex Dark Angels, however it does not apply to any member of the
Deathwing whilst any Fallen/people with knowledge of the Fallen remain
on the board. Stubborn:
As codex Dark Angels. Hunting
the Fallen: As codex Dark Angels. Cypher:
As codex Dark Angels. Implacable
Advance: If a 6 is rolled for a squads Intractability test then
the squad may still move as normal but may not move away from the enemy,
however they do not count as having moved for the purpose of firing
rapid-fire weapons. Special weapons such as the meltagun and Flamer may
be fired as normal, the movement is not compulsory. What is the fear of death? That we die with our work incomplete: As long as there are members of the fallen/characters with knowledge of the fallen on the table, members of the Deathwing will recover from being killed on a roll of 6+ (5+ if they are equipped with bionics), this represents them making one last effort to complete their work. Such a test may only be taken once per game, models who pass are placed back on the board at the point where they died with one wound. Sergeants that become separated from their squad must attempt to rejoin their squad unless the fallen/character with knowledge of the fallen is nearer in which case they must be moved towards and assaulted. This rule does not apply against instant death attacks. |
