An area often ignored when it comes to painting a miniature is the base. Many people paint it green and leave it at that. In this tutorial I will show how easy it is to create a characterful base. A few of these techniques are universal but the ash world base is primarily intended for the 40k universe. Basing does require time but if you do around 20 or so at once the process is surprisingly quick. In this step by step article I will outline the basic techniques in creating a base like the one the apothecary has to the left. |
