Ork Bikes

Bikes are another favourite although their high points cost means it is hard to always find a place for them in my army against Marines. Against Imperial Guard, Eldar, Dark Eldar and fellow Orks however they can tear whole units apart with three Strength 5 re-roll to hit shots each when shooting and in the first round of combat. Their toughness of 5 and invulnerable 5+ cover save means they are very hard to whittle down too, and of course they never break. With weaker armies such as the ones mentioned above your bikes can basically charge straight for any unit they wish as long as there aren’t too many Power Claws and the like around and can hold up several units at once giving you core units time to move in for the kill. Against Marines it is harder to recommend them although their toughness of 5 means Marines still have trouble wounding them and of course each bike only needs to kill one to make up their points value. Perhaps a wiser option would be to keep in cover out of sight and slowly advance with the rest of your army for one big concerted attack however this leaves other units vulnerable to attack.
