Iron Warriors Marines (close combat)

The option of  being able to equip normal marines with close combat weapons can be a big advantage. I like to take a big unit of 10 marines, one with a flamer and the other a champion with a powerfist, put them in a rhino and use them to support my terminators in combat or use them to counter attack in one of my tactical squads is charged. When they charge, they get a massive 26 attacks and usually needing 4+ to hit and 4+ to wound. On average (against Space Marines) your going to get 13 hits, 6 or 7 wounds, and they’ll save about 4 so you’ll be killing about 2 or 3, may not sound too good but that’s why you have the powerfist. Giving him spiky bits means that you’re likely to kill about 3 marines.
