High Elf Archers
One of the most numerous of High Elf units are archers. These units perform an important role in a general's plans. They soften up the enemy with their arrows before the rest of the army gets to grip with them. High Elves are renowned for their accuracy with the bow. A High Elf general would be foolish not to make use of one of their best resources. I have four units of 20 archers. Two of these units have a command group however they are lead by a standard leader. A champion for one of these units is far too expensive. 4 archers can be bought for the price of one champion. I rarely field all 80 archers at once as this often takes up a lost of points. A high elf is one of the most expensive troop types in the game. However when I do field all four of the units it is an impressive sight to behold. I can get 80 shots a turn out of these units and with the Lothern Seaguard and the rest of my army I can have over a 100 bow shots a turn. Even with only strength 3 I would like to see any opposing unit to stand up to that. So far my archers have done well in games. I try to include as many archers as I can in my games. The theory is if one rolls enough dice you will get some kills. At least that's the theory. :-)
