Escher

My Escher gang was the first Necromunda Gang I collected. The speed and combat ability of the Escher are their strength. When starting a gang it is always better to capitalise on the strengths rather than to compensate for any weaknesses. Not only do you end up with a effective gang you also get a characterful one.

Once I start a gang I tend to stick with it through thick and thin. The last gang I had reached a rating of 3000 plus and resembled a small Imperial Guard Platoon. Most of my gangers were armed with a multitude of close combat weapons. These operated in groups of around three models. This was one, to support each other during attacks, two, to help with those pinning checks at the beginning of the turn. My most feared member of my gang was a juve whom survived countless battles and became a hardened warrior. She was armed with a power weapon and auto pistol. However she had a weapon skill of 5, strength of 4, toughness of four and a handful of skills. As far as I remember she had parry, sprint, dodge and evade. Quite hard really.

One thing I learnt using this gang was that it soon became unwieldy. The sheer amount of mouths I had to feed left me with very little money to buy new equipment. If I were to start a new gang I would probably cut back on the models but purchase more expensive items such as armour and better weapons.

The best way to level a gang up is to play the most fearsome opponent you can find. You may get completely trounced but at the end you will get a heft amount of experience and if you manage to pull off a lucky win (possibly by your opponent bottling) you should receive a giant killer bonus.
