Dark Angels Grandmasters

Whether you are using the normal Dark angel army list, the Ravenwing army list or the Deathwing army list the Grandmaster will always be a valuable addition to your army (and in the last two cases a compulsory one).

I have two different force commanders for my standard army, the master of the Ravenwing (both the speeder and on a bike) and that’s about it (though I sometimes use my Chaplain in terminator armour as a Deathwing Grandmaster).

My most common leader is Grandmaster Octavius Cade, armed with a Plasma pistol an Iron halo, melta bombs and a lightning claw (though recently I’ve decided to master craft the claw since I always seem to miss with at least one attack). He is bloody good and amongst the kills accredited to him is the mighty Ghazkhal himself (though it must be pointed out that this was the Ghazkhal from the chapter approved section of white dwarf 230, though for some reason he had a powerfist instead of a power weapon).

My other Grandmaster is armed with the fabled sword of secrets, though after he underperoformed against a chaos army during the “Secret War” scenario from Wd 232 I haven’t really used him.
